How to prepare a vertical video with manual captions
Trim a clip, fit it into a 9:16 layout and add a caption for the whole clip.

Vertical framing can give a short announcement or demonstration a useful layout for mobile viewing. Media Studio fits your existing footage into a vertical canvas with padding.
Example: a short product announcement
For a 45-second recording, you might keep seconds 3 through 18 and add “Meet Media Studio by Orbit & Loom” as a caption. These are illustrative choices; use your own footage and message.
1. Load and preview your video
Select a supported video such as MP4, up to 250 MB. Check that both picture and sound play in your browser.
2. Choose the useful section
Set the start and end times in seconds. For the example above, Start is 3 and End is 18, giving a 15-second result.
3. Select vertical layout
Choose Vertical · 9:16 with padding. The exporter uses a 720 × 1280 canvas and fits the footage inside it. It does not automatically crop or track a face.
4. Write a short caption
Enter a manual caption of up to 180 characters. The caption stays on screen for the whole exported clip. This is not automatic speech transcription or word-by-word subtitling.
5. Download captions and export
You can download an SRT file for the caption. Select Export video and keep the tab open: rendering runs in real time. The file format depends on browser recording support, so check the requirements of your destination platform.
Review before posting
Play the exported file, check that the caption is readable and confirm your rights to the footage, music and voices. Posting to Instagram or Facebook is currently a separate manual step.
